Scenes of the beautiful African
landscape and wildlife highlight this heartwarming tale of Ted and Susan, two
children visiting their father in Africa and their love for an orphaned cheetah
cub, Duma, that becomes the newest part of their family. Although they grow to
appreciate the African animal world with both awe and amazement, they find that
they must return to the United States and so, begin to re-train Duma to once
again live in the wild. Their determination and love is tested, however, when
three scheming gamblers decide to steal the animal and Ted and Susan, with the
help of friend and guide Morogo. They set out to rescue their beloved cat in a
journey that takes them into the heart of the African desert where the trio
ultimately learns a new appreciation of their respective cultures.
