Louis Varga (Antonio Banderas), a wealthy Cuban coffee grower, takes a mail order American wife. When his wife emerges from the ship Louis isn't expecting much, but to his great surprise, he is greeted by femme fatale, Julia Russell (Angelina Jolie) in this historical romantic thriller set in turn-of-the-century Havana.
