Jesse James (Colin Farrell), his brother Frank (Gabriel Macht), and their gang rob and pillage the banks and other businesses that are cohorts with a railroad baron who is determined to pay homesteaders the absolute minimum for their land. Bounty hunter Allan Pinkerton (Timothy Dalton) makes it his personal mission to stop Jesse and his gang.
