It was one of the
greatest naval battles of the 20th century—an epic adventure
in which war planes, launched from a small American fleet, ambushed
a Japanese naval force and changed the course of World War II in the
Pacific. Now, Dr. Robert Ballard, the man who discovered the wrecks
of the Bismarck and R.M.S. Titanic, takes viewers down
more than three miles to the bottom of the ocean in search of the
sunken U.S.S. Yorktown and four Japanese carriers.
