Ben Stiller plays Ruben, a man who is afraid of risk but makes a living analyzing risk. He becomes involved in a “risky” romance with Polly (Jennifer Aniston) after finding out that his new wife, Lisa (Debra Messing), is cheating on him with a muscle-bound scuba instructor (Hank Azaria). His typically stable life rapidly turns upside down as the story ensues. Polly introduces Ruben to many extreme sports, spicy foods, ferrets, salsa dancing and living in the moment. Joining this great star-studded cast is Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays Sandy, Ruben’s best friend.
